I am trying to import an Excel project plan into MS-Project. Following the
instructions, I've completed:
1. FILE/OPEN/<Chose Directory/Filename/File Format>
2. This triggers the Import Wizard. I answer that this is a new project
map I am creating, that I need the "Task, Assignmnet, & Resource" data, then
go through the next screen & complete he mapping. The previous shows my data
perfectly.
3. The problem is, at the top of this screen, the Project Import Wizard
picks up the name of my worksheet in a drop down box (this is the good part),
but when I push the FINISH button on the bottom of this screen, I get the
message, "The source worksheet name is required. One or more worksheet name
fields are blank. A worksheet name is required to import data."
Thus I am stuck. Although the wizard is successfully displaying in its drop
down box the name of my worksheet in my Excel file, it claims to not have
the name and won't complete the import mapping. HELP!!!
