Project 2003 hangs when importing

Hi All

I have a user who is unable to import information from an Excel 2003
spreadsheet into Project 2003. When he attempts the import Project 2003 hangs
and when he checks in Task Manager the app is shown as not responding.

Any Ideas?

Hi John,

To help narrow down the possible issues, can another user import the exact
same Excel file into Project without it hanging? If another user can import
the Excel file without difficultly, I would hazard that the problem is with
the installation on the hanging PC. If another user's machine also hangs with
the same file, it may be a mapping problem between Project and Excel.
