Project 2003 on an XP Tablet PC OS Problem

My boss is trying to install Project 2003 SP2 on a Gateway laptop that has
the Microsoft Tablet XP OS installed. He can install the Project but when he
runs it it only shows a blank screen. He cannot create a new project or open
an existing one. Has anyone experienced this problem and is there a fix or
workaround to get Project working on the Tablet XP OS?

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered as I could not find an answer
to this question via Google or other means.

If the 2003 version won't run on the Tablet XP OS does the 2007 version of
Project? I've looked at the system requirements and it doesn't mention the
Tablet OS, only XP.

Posting a followup in the hope it helps others. I found this post "IE Causes
Problems with Project 2003" in this link:
http://the-cream.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html Which mentions the
same/similar problem. The work around is to disable the Display Project
Guide (uncheck it's checkbox) in Project's Tools/Options menu. Once this was
done Project displays new and opened files properly.
