Project 2003 server functionality different to standalone version

Nicola Willson

Hi,

I have recently received refresher training on MS Project 2003, standalone
version. There are a number of functions in the standalone version that do
not work on my server version, e.g. camera function to take snapshots of a
project plan. There are some functions that work for some users, such as
tasks being automatically updated when subtask dates are changed, that do not
work for others. Has anyone else had these sort of problems and know how I
would go about fixing them?

Thanks

The only difference between 2003 Pro and 2003 standard is the ability to
connect to project server, and the associated project server functions (build
team from enterprise etc). If you notice any differences it'll be due to
setup on the individual PCs, eg updating willl probably be down to automatic
calculation. Check the options on differing systems.
