Project 2003 Server installation problem

During the installation of Project 2003 server on a Application server, at
the stage of connecting to SQL server for database creation, I got the
message saying that the server must be SP3. But I am sure, I have installed
SP3 on that SQL2000 server already and that SQL server is another server
box.

Any idea?
