Project 2003 Server upgrade

Warren Cundy

Hi guys,

I'm doing a test upgrade from our Project 2002 Server (which uses Sharepoint
Team Services) to Project Server 2003, which requires Windows Sharepoint
Services.

Following the MS Office Project Server 2003 Installation Guide, p. 36, I'm
trying to run STSWiz.exe on the old server as one of the steps to export my
STS subwebs so I can import them to WSS on the new server. I get two
options when I run this: 1) provision additional sharepoint websites for
project server, and 2) restore STS original template files. neither of
which really make sense in this case, and there is no guidance in the
installation guide. Can anybody help me out here?

Thanks

-Warren

Warren,
I saw your message regarding your upgrade and am
interested as I am wanting to test the upgrade here.
I would like to upgrade the OS to Windows 2003 server and
then upgrade project to 2003. After that I would like to
migrate STS, etc. Can you send me the major steps and
the order in which you performed the steps? Most of the
documents that I have are not real specific on the exact
order for accomplishing each major step in the upgrade.
Thanks,
Gary
