I have copied and pasted the thread from yesterday this question refers to.
See below.
Question remaining:
1. Is this expected behaviour as these changes are implemented quickly when
making resource changes through the Pro client? This issues only happens
when delegating through the web client.
2. Is there a mechanism that automaticlly synchronizes all sharepoint sites
at some interval? Say every 24 hours?
Thanks,
Brandon

Original question with responses:
We have a 3 month old implementation of Project 2003 EPM. We're running SP1
for Sharepoint, Project server, and Project Pro installations.
We've found a possible bug in permission delegation between Project Web
Access and Project Pro for Sharepoint rights.
Right now, default permissions are set so that if a user is assigned a task
in the project plan, upon publishing of the schedule, permissions are
provisioned to that user in the corresponding Sharepoint site for that
project. When using the Professional client, this works fine.
There is a "Delegate Task" feature in Project Web Access that allows users
to delegate tasks that are assigned to them to a different resource.
However, even when the project plan is updated and published, if the resource
is assigned the task through the Delegate Task function, permissions are
*not* provisioned to that user in the corresponding Sharepoint site for the
project.
I suppose there is a chance we're somehow not configured right too.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
Brandon

Ask your Project Server administrator to try the following:
1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click Admin - Manage Windows SharePoint Services
3. Click the Manage SharePoint Sites link in the sidepane on the left
4. In the data grid of projects, select the Project ID number for the
project in question
5. Click the Synchronize button
Let us know if this solves the problem.

Dale,
That appears to correct the issue. We have some questions as a result of
this development.
1. Is this expected behaviour as these changes are implemented quickly when
making resource changes through the Pro client? This issues only happens
when delegating through the web client.
2. Is there a mechanism that automaticlly synchronizes all sharepoint sites
at some interval? Say every 24 hours?
Its virtually impossible for a Project Manager to have to manually
synchronize every sharepoint site every day just to make sure any delegated
permissions/resources have been added. Do you have any advice on how to
handle this issue?
Thank you very much for your time.

I'm not the SharePoint guru, so I will kindly invite others in this forum to
comment on your questions. I'm glad that I at least helped you to take care
of the first issue.
