Project 2003 Standard - Resource Pool- Reporting errors

S

Sarah

I am using a resource pool across multiple projects and I found an error with the reporting of overallocation in the Resource view. Each task is showing up three times within the resource view which skews the resource overallocation

I was wondering if anyone had encountered a similar problem and found a solution

Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Sarah,

I suggest you check your resource pool file and see which
project files it thinks it is supplying resources to.
From the resource pool file
Tools --> Resource Sharing --> Share resources
to view the file names of the sharer files.

If the sharer files have been saved with a "Save As"
command, the resource pool file frequently maintains the
connection to both the "old" copy of the file as well as
the "new" copy. Select filename of the "old" copy of the
file in the dialog box and choose Break Link to
disconnect all but the current working version of the
file.
Hope this helps.

Hello Sarah,
Haven't you saved in the Project server data base a consolidated window of
several projects ?
