Project 2003 + WPA + P/Server: can you report on multiple projects

I would like to be able to generate reports based on multiple projects to
help facilitate progress meetings.

From my very limited MP knowledge, it appears all reporting is generated
from single projects only.

For example, I would like to produce a report on ALL PROJECTS.

We have Project 2003 + Project Web Access + Project Server.

Hi Tristan,

With our without Server, use Insert, Project to create a "master" file and
report from there.

We have already tried this approach, which does give a useable option;
except we are processing 84 projects at the moment and the time it takes the
Master Project to load and accept manipulation is frustratingly slow.

Just hoped Project 2003 would be aware of all the projects it is managing
without having to make a single composite project. ;-)

Am I right to form the opinion that Project 2003 is focused on the
individual project rather than a portfolio of projects (competing for common
resources), and therefore system functions are geared towards the individual
project?

Hi,

Well, the functionality to level resources over a whole prortfolio is there,
again with or without Server. And Yes, opening is slow but it does
recalculate all.
