Project 2003

When connected to porject server thru Project Pro, I try to add a task and
the application puts up windows that sends error to Microsoft and restarts
projects. When projects restarts and reconnects I try to add it again and the
same thing happens.

Originally it gave me a suggestion to download office patches and after I
down loaded the patches it keeps restarting.

Venetian, can you please check your service pack and compare this with the
service pach you are running on Project Server. Both should match ( and are
hopefully SP2a)

Thanks. I just updated the SQL, WSS, & Project Server but still have the same
issue. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go from here.

If this is happening to only you, and for all files, then you may have
corrupt global.mpt file on your system which is typically located at
:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\1033

If this is happening for all users across many projects, then we'd look for
corruption in the Project Server datbase. Can you give us an idea of the
problem scope?
