Project 2003

Newbie question: Using the demo version for testing purposes, I need to print
multiple tasks with a common resource on one row in a Gantt Chart. These
tasks would have different beginning & ending dates. Is this possible?

Thank you.

Bachmrr,
The only way to do that with any version of Project is via a Summary
line. Create a Summary line and indent the multiple subtasks under it.
Then select all the subtasks and hit the Task Information icon. I don't
have have Project open at the moment but as I recall, the checkbox for
rolling up the tasks to the Summary line is on the "general" tab of the
Task Information window.

This approach works best if none of the subtasks overlap in time.
Otherwise each subtask will not clearly show on the Summary line Gantt
display.

Project doesn't have a lot of flexibility with regard to the Gantt
display. However there are some companion products that might be of
interest. One that comes to mind is called "Milestones". I think its
made by a company called Kidasa but I can't find my disk to verify that.

Hope this helps.
