Project 2007 and MOSS 2007

I getting ready to install a new MOSS 2007 farm and also create a new
installation of project. I am a bit confused as to whether I should
integrate Project into the MOSS farm or to do an installation seperately from
the MOSS farm but still be able to connect and use the data.

Are there any disadvantages to not putting project in the MOSS farm?

Can I still use data created in the seperate project in MOSS even if it is
not part of the farm?

My thinking at the moment is to create them seperate as we do not have a
huge need for project whereas MOSS will be used site-wide and this will save
on licenses.
