project 2007 and outlook add-in authentication

Hi,
I have a problem with connecting from external applications to project 2007
server(project 2007, and oulook add-in). The error message says it can make
contact to the server but it does not have enough permissions . When I do the
same thing on my desktop PC everything works fine. On my desktop PC I login
whit the same user and I’m using the same passwords.
When I go to the pwa site on my laptop I don’t get asked for a password it
automatically logs me in.

My laptop configuration:
OS: Windows vista
App: Project 2007

My desktop configuration:
OS: Windows XP
App: Project 2007


Project server 2007:
authentication :Windows authentication

All the installed software is in Dutch.

My college also has no problem connecting whit his vista laptop.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi Ward,

check in PWA if you allowed permission to the user to use Outlook to update
your project.

Hi Marc,

I am trying to use Outlook PWA Add-in. I went throughout the install process
with no problem, imported all my assignments which are showing just fine in
Outlook.

Now, when I open any Project Task I see that many of the fields are grayed
out. In fact the only fields I am able to modify are the Taks Health and
Remaining Work. I can't enter any time into the grid, and the Copy from
Planned button is disabled.

I have reviewed the security templates in PWA and I am not able to see the
old 2003 setting "allow the user to use Outlook to update projects" and I
can't find such a setting.

What am I doing wrong?
