Project 2007 Beta + Project Server 2003 = 0x800a13bd error

I have tried to configure Project 2007 Beta to connect to our Project 2003
server, when I run the connection test it works fine, but when I try to log
in, it keeps giving me the 0x800a13bd error. Any ideas?

If you are trying Project Pro 2007 then it can't work with Project Server
2007 as it uses caching and other technologies 2003 doesn't support. Project
Server 2007 can't use Project Pro 2003 either.

Just to expand on what Rod has correctly posted:-

Winproj11 drops files in the viewdrop folder on the server(s) hosting the
views processing service using XML/RPC.

Winproj12 connects to the queuing service over HTTP(S) and is therefore not
backward compatible to earlier versions of Project Server.
