Project 2007 compatability 2003

Bert

My Project Managers when e-mailing or making our Project files available on
an E Room, most of the time, cannot be opened by our Customer counterparts.

Our operating system is Windows XP using Project Server 2003
Their operating system is Vista using Project Server 2007

Is this an issue with anyone else? and/or is there a way to get around this?

Hi Bert, presumably we can take the project server element out of this, as
you'll be emailing MPP files. Project 2003 mpp files can be opened by
Project 2007 and vice versa (you require Project 2003 SP3 I think) so you
shouldn't have any difficulties. Are you getting any errors?

Thanks for the quick response,
We have SP3 installed and no errors. However we are sending them copies of
our files, our part is easy. Is there a SP3 for Project 2007? or anything
other reason why they may not be able to open our files? Note: Every once
and awhile one of ours will open for them. When they used Project 2003 this
was not an issue.

Thanks, you have helped me rule out potential Project software compatability.
I will look at other causes.
