Some more information might help here.
What is the column you are inserting? Is there a formula associated with it?
Is there a look-up table associated with it? What is it named? Does it
roll-down to the assignment level?
Second, what is the task sheet view? Is it a view you have created or is it
what you call the task usage view? Is it a local view or an enterprise view?
I'd start by going into the organizer and deleting any local views and
tables in the project that has a problem. Then I'd close project and delete
the folders which contain the cache. Then restart project and see what
happens.
