Project 2007 CSV Import corruption

Bryan

Hi when I Import a CSV file into my project 2007 file it corrupts the data.
The same import works fine in a project 2003 project file. Anyone have a
possible solution?

Hi Bryan,

I don't know about actual data corruption, however there was a
significant problem with predecessor/successor relationships being
removed when importing data from Excel. Make sure you have
installed both SP-1 as well as the Infrastructure update.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

I'm having the same issue. The data being imported is a .csv file (exported
from Test Track Pro) which I'm merging into a large Project file.

The merge results in rows in my project file that are directories (not
tasks) being overwritten with tasks.

I'm following the same import process I have used successfully for over a
year in 2003.

I've installed both the SP-1 as well as the infrastructure updates.

Hi Todd,

I don't know what you mean by:
The merge results in rows in my project file that are directories
(not
tasks) being overwritten with tasks.

There are no "directories" in a project file. Can you explain what
you mean?

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
