Hi,
Can both project 2007 and project 2003 be installed on the same system and
use segregate?
Sincerely,
AAA

Yes, you can have both Project 2007 and Project 2003 running on the same PC.
However, keep in mind that only one of them will be the default software for
opening a project if you double-click on an MPP file. Whichever one you
install last becomes the default software. Hope this helps.

I've got a related question. We are in the process of transitioning our
enterprise to Project 2007 standard from Project 2003 standard. Three
separate colleagues have reported that when they have saved their 2007 files
as 2003 documents, they have lost data in text fields. This is very
important to us because we will continue to have teammates who will use 2003,
while we will be using 2007. Any thoughts?

Hello NH Ralph,

I've not seen standard text fields have data loss, but there is a change in
how list values work between Project 2003 and Project 2007 as it relates to
grouping. In Project 2003 a group by on a list field (Text field with a
value list) would show the description as the group header. In Project 2007,
it is the value list choice that appears in any group header.

That is the only change I am aware of. Does this describe what is happening?

I hope this helps.

No this is not it. We have literally lost all data in all of the text
fields. Would it matter if we were using Project 2003 SP2, instead of
Project 2003 SP3?

Hi Ralph,

I don't honestly know as I've never seen this happen. However,
Project 2003 is at SP-3 and I suggest installing particularly if you
will be working in a mixed environment.
