Project 2007 is changing 2003 plan tasks when opening

We have just migrated to Project 2007 and I'm converting our 2003 files.
I've seen several examples where durations on tasks have changed or 2007 has
taken actual work from past months and put as actual work into the future
months. As far as I can tell, there is no difference in base working time,
global MPT, task details, or resource details that would explain. I'd rather
not have to manually re-enter all these tasks if there is knowns problem or
possibility. My tasks are fixed duration and not effort driven and it's only
hapening in a subset of tasks whereas other tasks that were setup the same
way are unaffected.

Please help!
