Project 2007 Proposals - outline codes or other "portfolio" categorization?

Is it possible to assign outline codes and the like in order for
proposals to be categorized or are they all in one big pool until move
to project status?

Also, can you add additional descriptive fields to the proposal such
as Projected Labor Hours, Funding Authority, Business Problem, Risk,
Sponsors, and STOPLIGHTS?

In short yes. You dont call them outline codes anymore, but custom fields.
You can assign the custom fields to proposals and projects. you can create as
many custom fields as you like and can manage risks via the workspace (
likein 2003)
