Project 2007/PWA 2007 Saving Templates

I have Admin rights at the User, Group, and Catagory levels (with All items
approved none denied).
I am attempting to use MSP 2007 Enterprise that is connected to the Project
Sever to place a Project Templete for our other PM's to use. I save the
template, set the type to Template, give it a name. I get a popup that asks
me if I want to drop items from the Template. I do not check any of the
boxes and tell it to continue.
The system says that the save was successful.
The system will not let me publish the template (Grayed out and will not
respond)
When I look in the enterprise list of projects, it is not there.
When I look through the various options under New Project I do not find the
Template listed in the existing projects or On web sites-My sharepoint sites

I want it to show on the enterprise Project list. what do I need to check
to see why this is happening?

thanks! - greg DC

Hi Greg,

Enterprise templates are not shown in the project centre on any sharepoint
sites, rather they are stored in the SQL databases with a specific project
type, and are therefore hidden from the project centre view. The way to
access the Enterprise Projects is to click on File | New and then from the
task pane on the LHS, select Templates from my computer, and then select the
2nd tab named enterprise template.

Hi Joseph,
I can't comment on the DB size, but it does sound to me as though there is
some data corruption within the plan. I would save the plan as an XML file
(you'll lose the formatting), and then open the xml file from Project Pro,
and then save it back to the project server (choose a different name). If it
saves successfully, then re-format the data, delete the old project, and
rename the new one to reflect the old name. You'll have to sort out WSS
separately.

Ben,
thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Sometimes you get an
idea an mind and just can't shake it.
