Project 2007 too slow

Hi,

I'd like performace advice. Let's say a project is linked to 10 different
projects( like successors and predecessors). When you open that project using
MS Project Pro 2007...it takes about 10-20 minutes to open. Is there a way to
quicken this process ?
There's no memory/network issues. But I'm not sure about the Database
Configuration. How would we know which is the right configuration for optimum
performance ? Any advice will be helpful.

Are you using Project Server, if so have you applied the SP?

If you have links to 10 projects, then Project pro needs to open all 10 to
get the latest data from the database. Investigate using Project Server's
new deliverables instead as they make more sense for inter-project
relationships.

Rod is correct, you should use the deliverables feature. Also, if the
projects have been opened before and thus present in the local cache,
performance should improve.

Performance problems are ussualy caused by Antivirus/Antispyvare
application.
