Project 2007

I work for a company interested in procuring project 2007 server edition. We
have 12 personnel approx all of which will require access to complete
timesheets and report on progress.

Can anyone tell me what I need to purchase to make this possible?

Just 12? Or is that 12 project managers?

Firstly Project Server on its own will not work. You must also work to get
all schedules up to standard. All Tasks with Resources accurately assigned
and resources leveled to match the hours per week each resource has for each
project. Next you need processes for allocating resources and managing
timesheets and prioritizing projects and more. Governance levels for each
project are also important and all that plus more has to happen before you
get to designing suitable reports!!

The cost of software and servers is nothing compared to the cost of
implementing. I strongly suggest you look for a Microsoft partner in your
area with good Project Server experience. If you can't find one, post back
here and we'll find one for you!

I second Mike's remarks. Rolling out Project Server is not an
inexpensive or easy task, and is not to be undertaken lightly. Make
sure you really need Project Server's features before you leap off
this particular cliff.
