Project alerts

[Deseperate for answers]

I have been trying to find a way to set up alerts in Project for various
events in the project time line/critical path. Is there a way to set up an
alert that will either send you an e-mail or alert you to a specific task for
a specifc project when you open the software? I appreciate any help I can get
since I am a "test version" user.

Hi Desperate,

I'm afraid that Project does not have this capability built in. You
could create a VBA macro to test tasks in a project file for specific
criteria and then display a message, but you would still have to open
the project file.
