I am working on setting up a WSS environment for our organization for team
collaboration as well as a Project server for our PMO office. My plan is to
design this in the following manner:
1. Create a WSS farm of 4 servers (all WIN2K8 64-BIT)
a. 2 WFE
b. 1 SQL Server 2005
c. 1 Project server 2007 application Server
My questions is:
1. Should I create my WSS farm first and then install Project Server 2007 or
would installing Project Server 2007 create my WSS 3.0 farm for me in one
shot? I know that installing project server creates a sharepoint farm but is
this method recommended?
2. Is there a 64-bit edition of WSS 3.0 and 64-bit version of Project
Server available?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Walid
