Project appears under both the Managers after Owner Change.

I changed the Owner of the Project and also did Republish Assignments
with Become Manager of these tasks selected, but the Project still
appears under old manager's PWA.

I can't replicate this issue but I need to fix this before moving
forward. There must be some reason behind this.

Have you checked the security settings for groups/categories which may give
the user access.

I did not change the permission. I used default templates.
You could try using the effective rights tools to ascertain where these
permissions are inherited from.
