Project attempting to overwrite Global.MPT

When trying to save a file opened from EPM, I get the following message:

"Project is attempting to save [local hard drive
path...]\ApplicationData\Microsoft\MSProject\11\1033.MPT. A file with this
name already exists and is probably disabled. You should let project replace
the existing file."

I have saved this project file many times before but this is the first time
I've received this message.

Any ideas as to why I'm getting it now? I recently uploaded a project file
to EPM for the first time that was made from a copy of the same file as the
file I'm getting message was made from. Not sure if that's related.

Did you ever get a FIX for this? I have a PM that is getting a message to
save the Global.mpt to hi c drive everytime he closes Project Server 2007 PRO
