When you perform this action, every account that uses Project Server
authentication will be locked out from accessing Project Server. This
includes the built-in Administrator account because it uses Project Server
authentication. Because of the risk associated with changing the method of
user authentication in Project Server, we recommend that you add several
user accounts to the Administrators group so that someone's Windows
authenticated account with can log into Project Server and perform
administrator capabilities. Let this be a lesson to you and others.
Enough lecture. To solve this problem, one of your SQL Server DBA's will
need to perform the following action:
1. Launch the SQL Server Enterprise Manager
2. Select the Project Server database
3. In the MSP_WEB_ADMIN table, change the WADMIN_AUTHENTICATION_TYPE value
to 3
This will return the method of user authentication to Mixed. At this point,
I would strongly urge you to add your user account to the Administrators
group. Hope this helps.
