Since office and specifically Outlook is used by a lot of corporate
businesses why not have a server based intranet for project blogging. This
would specifically reduce redundant traffic of emails. A large percentage of
emails are forwards, and reply's. But if this was set up in a blogging
format then the response could be read by all allowed and only sent once.
Data retention and reception works just like emails. There could be a
priority hierarchy and also public, private, and confidential but in all
cases are kept within the company. This would help reduce cost of bandwidth
traffic and improve communication between all aspects of or tiers of jobs.
Also and rss style feed or something for blackberry or i phone types for
instant updates. Chimes or an update icon only so not to duplicate traffic.
