Project Center - Project Details view not working

From Project Center selecting a project title (to open the Project Details
view) the PWA screen eventually appear with the message as follows:

"Project Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view. It is
most likely that you either don't have permissions to view the project,
another user has deleted this project(s) before you were able to view it or
that another user is in the process of publishing the project."

The project is checked in, I have permissions, it is not deleted and no
other user is in the process of publishing the project. Selecting edit opens
the project successfully within Project Professional. We are using Project
Server 2007 on a single server installation (hopefully this is not yet
another common error with 2007).

This seems to be only applicable to projects with a significant number of
tasks (400+). Is there some time-out setting that could contribute to this
message being returned, or any other suggestion?

Further to this, on the server the following error is registered in the Event
Viewer:

"Event Type: Error
Event Source: Office SharePoint Server Error Reporting
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5000

Description:
EventType ulsexception12, P1 w3wp.exe, P2 6.0.3790.3959, P3 45d6968e, P4

1873, P9 applicationexception, P10 0000."

Has anyone possibly come across a similar error? Thanks.

The same problem on large project.
Now I am trying to investigate where low-level "delay-time" parameters can
be configured. Probably there is not enough time to wait from SSP-Webservice
side. "Request timed out" occures.
I am inform you about progress... if any :)

Additional warning in evenet log (.NET 2057)

Vadim -

I don't get the "Request timed out" error this side, but it certainly seems
like some kind of timing issue. Please let me know if you happen to find
further information, I'll do the same. Thanks!

Later,
Franklin

To close this topic: Figured it was an issue with Windows Server 2003 service
packs not applied before installing Project Server 2007. Re-installed
Project Server (& .Net 3.0) and all seems to be working fine now.
