Project center view seeing only certain tasks

Hi chaps
Please can you tell me if it possible to create a view where I can see
a certain task under the Project heading. For instance, I have a
project called E Business and I would like to see 3 tasks: Start,
Business Case, Finish. In Project Center I would like to see the
project heading, and then underneath it, the 3 tasks.
I can't work out how to do this!
Many thanks for all your help, as always.

Lynne -

Before you create this custom detailed Project view in PWA, you would need
some way to filter for these three tasks. My approach would be to create a
custom enterprise Task field that will simply have a Yes or No value in that
field, with the default value set as No. You will need to create this field
in the Enterprise Global file, then save and close the Enterprise Global
file, and then exit and relaunch Microsoft Project Professional.

After you have created this field, ask your project managers to open each
project they manage, temporarily insert the field in the Gantt Chart view,
and then set a Yes value for only those three tasks. Then they will need to
save and publish the project changes using Collaborate - Publish - All
Information or Collaborate - Publish - Project Plan. Finally, you can
create the custom detailed Project view in PWA that simply filters for a Yes
value in that custom enterprise field. Hope this helps.

thanks for this help - will the view which I create be available in the
top level of Project Center, as opposed to "View a Project"?

No. The Project Center only displays a single line for each project. Hope
this helps.
