Project color dot

Why have all my e-mails and calendar events all of a sudden lost their color
dot indicating which project they belong to? (If I click on the project icon
the correct project is ticked, and e-mails and events show up correctly in
the project view.)

Hi Janne,
a number of people have reported this problem, and it seems to be related to
Apple's latest security update (2005-08). Up to this point, no one has been
able to determine for sure whether this week's Office 2004 SP2 update is
also responsible for this, but you do not seem to have upgraded so far, so
it might be interesting for the Microsoft programmers who frequently check
this board to see yet another case of a pre-SP2 version of Entourage
suffering from this problem.

Anyway, long story short: it seems to be caused by Apple's security update,
and at this point, there is no fix. You may have to wait for a new security
update before you'll see the dots again, sorry.

Hi,

I have this problem too, ans I did not apply sp2 yet, so it is clearly
an Apple Problem

I can now confirm: it IS a Security Update problem. I forgot that I had
a non-updated copy of OS X on an external hard drive. I booted from
that system and launched by SP2 updated copy of Entourage. All the dots
WERE there!!!!!!

Apple: PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!!!

Yeap--Count me in as SP1 without the dots :(

But I bet you applied Apple's recent security update, yes?

That's the culprit. After applying that update the project dots disappear.
MS are aware of the problem, and I would expect that they are working on it.

Confirmed--I did download Apple's recent Security Update and that's
when the dots disappeared.
