Project Crashes inserting column

When trying to insert a column into a specific project plan (regardless of
the view) it crashes project. This is an enterprise field but we are not
having issues inserting the column into any other project plans.

This field was added to the enterprise template and was added to two views:
enterprise gantt chart and task sheet.

Fo the project plan we are having an issue with, the field was automatically
inserted into the gantt view but did not auto insert into the task sheet
view. When we try to add to the task sheet view it crashes project.

Any ideas of how to troubleshoot or repair this? I have tried everything I
can think of.

This sounds as though you're using a server. If so, try posting on the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup (forum). Please see FAQ Item: 24.

Even though the project plan is crashing when in Project 2007?

Hi Trisha,

Obviously, this shouldn't happen If you're using the stand alone version
of Project without a server, then we need to do some fault tracing. We need
to discover whether your project is at fault, whether it is Project at
fault, or whether it's your PC. Does the symptom occur with other projects
on this PC? Does it occur with this project on other PCs? Does it occur
with other projects on other PCs?

FYI, I was having crashing problems with 2007, and after installing SP-2
today, crashing appears to have disappeared.
