Project crashes opening a project in the draft database

I am running MOPP 2007 and MOPS 2007 with SP1 installed. I have one project
in the draft database, not yet published, that I can no longer open. When I
select the project MOPP crashes with no error message.

I have admin privileges and I can see the project in the database usng SQL
Server Enterprise Manager.

Any suggestions on how to recover the project are greatly appreciated.

Try deleting the cache. If this doesn't resolve the issue, enable verbose
logging for Winproj. Hopefully this will give you more information as to why
it's crashing.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\MS Project]
"WinprojLog"="c:\\temp\\"
"DebugCategory"=dword:ffffffff
"DebugLevel"=dword:ffffffff
"DebugLoadSerCategory"=dword:000003ed

Thanks for the quick response. Since the original post I have clened the
local cache and deleted the cache files via the command prompt with no
change. I also had another PM try to open the project and they had the same
results on a different PC.

Based on some other postings, I took a closer look at the project in the
database. I found a large number of duplicate TASK_UIDs. I didn't think
this possible? Could this be the root of the problem and is there an easy
way to clean these up (such as just deleting these records)?

Thanks again.

Well I found a fix. I opened a blank project and inserted the problem
project into it without a link. I'm still not sure what the problem with the
original file was or how it occurred.

Go figure:)
