In the last day we started seeing Project Pro failing when we touched the RBS
Enterprise Outline Code. Going into the resource pool and picking the menu
for the RBS column makes Project crash every time, while opening the
Enterprise Global and editing the RBS Look-up Table (LUT) makes it crash
"sometimes".
No failures doing anything else. Problem is reproducible on a number of
systems and does not require any projects (other than the dummy projects for
Enterprise Global or Enterprise Resource Pool) to be open; the Project Server
contents seem to be the problem.
We have deleted and re-entered the RBS LUT a couple of times, and we did
have a duplicate entry in the LUT but were able to remove that and save the
Enterprise Global between crashes. The RBS has a four level code mask and the
duplication was in the last level (ie the lowest of the 4)... not sure if
that would even be a problem.
We also seem to be having problems any time we try to load resources with
RBS pre-populated -- we get an error message saying the RBS value does not
match the LUT even though we have confirmed they do match...
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
JB
