Project displays work as hours not days

How do I change this, I tried the Admin customise function but there is
nothing in there to cover this ?
I've also tried Dales MSP experts FAQ but can't find anythung there - is
this something you can;t change ?

By default, Work is measured in Hours and Duration is measured in Days in
Microsoft Project. Are you confusing these two concepts? Anyway, if you
really want to measure Work in Days, open the project in question in
Microsoft Project Professional and do the following:

1. Click Tools - Options - Schedule
2. Change the "Work is entered in" value to Days
3. Click the Set as Default button
4. Click the OK button
5. Save and close the project
6. Repeat this process for every project
