Project Experts procedure on Archiving Completed Projects

Hello

I've followed all the steps from MS Project Experts "How do I archive
completed projects in the production Project Server database?" and it
sort of works for me.

I did the whole process with a project called "Australia Projects" but
the problem I'm having is that different users with the "My
Organization" permissions are seeing different things in the Project
Centre view "My Completed Projects". For eg. I'm seeing "Australia
Projects" and another project which is not listed in the "My completed
projects" category. Another user doesn't see any projects at all
listed ... another user sees different project names again.

I can't seem to work out why and I would really appreciate any
feedback.

Thank you
Rosa

Without knowing your security matrix, it's difficult to say. Consider that
simply adding the archiving scheme to your system doesn't change previous
permissions on the project or the rights that people otherwise have to them.

Hi Gary

This is the scenario that I have... We have 43 projects marked
completed and I have assigned 4 users to the "Completed Projects" view.
Three administrators (including myself) and an Executive. I see all
43 projects, another administrator sees 37 and the other administrator
sees 2. We are all administrators with identical permissions and
categories/groups and that is what is making me confused. I'm guessing
that it has to be a permissions thing somewhere but I can't find
anywhere that we differ... any thoughts or suggestions on what to look
for in particular?

Thank you and I appreciate any help you can give me.

Regards
Rosa

I'm thinking I'd need to poke around your system to guide you further. But,
I suspect that your suspicion is correct. It has to be a permissions issue.
You might consider downloading the Project Server effective rights tool to
help you determine what the differences are.
