Which is the save as to be used?

Thanks in advance.

Probably best to ask this in newgroup or other forum associated with
Primavera (or read the Primavera User's Guide).

That being said, I would recommend you look at all the File/Save As
options available in Project and look at Primavera's File/Save As
options. Where there is a match-up is a clue. Surely what Primavera can
Save As is something they can read. Also note that different versions
of Project have different File/Save As capabilties, so best to look
specifically at the version you have.

Lucia,
If you have an older version of Project that can Save As MPX then it is
possible. It works OK but not spectacular. If you have a newer version you
are out of luck. MS eliminated this option. Only other option would be a
series of data files that could be exported from Project and imported to
Primavera.

It depends what you mean by "Primavera". That's a generic name, there are
many products. But most times, it's Prmavera Project Planner ("P3") that is
being referred to, because that program has been around since the start of
Primavera Systems, Inc.

P3 can import/export to MPX format only, but Primavera (and other vendors)
also has a MPX/MPP utility. The new programs (in the Primavera Enterprise,
P3e/c for Constructioin, and Primavera TeamPlay suites) can import/export to
both MPX and MPP formats. And it is a "sophisticated" feature, in that you
can specify how to handle different fields. Also, the "added value" in the
Primavera programs will no be lost if new MS-P data is brought in.

As Rob suggested, there are also Primavera News Groups, if you want to
register for any of these go to www.primavera.com/support/forums.html.
