Project field information lost for when saving local project to se

Hi,

When saving a project to the projectserver we noticed that the information
in the project field is lost after the conversion of local resources to
enterprise resources.

This causes great problems in our reporting. We have one project containing
multiple projects as a task and we use the project field in resource usage to
group against.

Does anyone know of a solution?

Are you saying that you have custom data stored against local resources
against each project? If the data is unique to the resource you can map it
to a custom enterprise resource field. If the data is unique for each
resource/project combination then the data cannot be stored against the
resource as this will be overwritten each time the schedule is opened.
Instead the data needs to be stored at the task or assignment level.
