Project file corrupted, restart Project

Hello, my colleague and I have been working on a project file that links with
other project files and resource pools. However at a certain point, the
program decides that the file is corrupted and we're unable to open it using
Microsoft Project. It keeps prompting us with a file corrupted/file error
message and to restart Project.

Does anyone know how to fix/avoid this error?

Thanks in advance.

I am using Microsoft Project 2003.

I don't think there is a fix (though Microsoft may be able to fix it if it
is really valuable). To avoid in future, when you have links and resource
pools NEVER:
Rename files
over-write files
Move files

that are at either end of a link. Eventually you will get a corruption if
you do.
