Project File Password

WEB

I just upgraded to Project 2007 and I opened a Project 2003 file and saved it
under a new name since I was going to make changes to it. After I completed
the changes to the file I saved and closed it. This file has password
protection on it so when I opened it I typed in the password but it says the
password is incorrect now. My question is has anybody else had problems like
this after they have converted from 2003 to 2007?

This is additional information for this problem that I created doing an
additional test. I opened a Project 2003 file that has password protection in
Project 2007. I did not make any changes to the file and saved it in the
Project 2007 version when I closed it. Afterward when I tried to open this
file the password will no longer work. When I type in the password I get an
error message that says the password is incorrect.

Hello WEB,

There have been several reports of problems with password protected
files in Project 2007. Unless the problem is repaired, my
recommendation is to avoid using passwords on Project files you intend
to use in Project 2007.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
