"project guide"

I am using MS office project standard 2003. somehow my project-guide stting
got corrupted. I am not seeing anything in the side-pan and in the
project-guide toolbar. I have tried installing the MS project again but no
use.
I have also tried gng to Tools->Options->Interface and selecting the project
guide....but no success.

Hi Sanjeev ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

Try Tools/Customize/Toolbars... and select Project Guide. If it isn't
there, try Tools/Organizer.../Toolbars tab and look for Project Guide in the
Global.mpt file (on the left). Select it and use the copy button to copy it
to your project. If it's not in the Global.mpt file, go to Windows
Explorer, use search to find all instances of Global.mpt and rename them all
to Global1(2...n).mpt.. Now close Project and on opening it again it should
renew your Glopal.mpt.
