Project Guides, pgcontent, and caching

I'm using the pgcontent protocol to create a custom Project Guide that will
exist as local files. It seems to work okay (once I installed Project 2003
SP2), but if I make changes to the main xml file and restart Project, I
don't see the new changes I made.

The workaround is that I have to rename the file and change the setting for
the custom Project Guide filename.

Is there a cache in play here, and is there some way to get around the
cache?
