For anyone who has wanted to be able to automatically mark national or
religious holidays as non-working time in a Microsoft Project Plan
calendar, there is now a free tool available for download from Thought
Croft. This tool is a VBA based *.mpp file that will locate the
Outlook Holiday File (if you have Outlook installed - if not the tool
will direct you to a Microsoft site where you can download the Holiday
file) and allow you to select from the 8,000 holidays from 88
countries. These selected holidays can then be marked as non-working
days in selected Base Calendars in the Global Template or a specific
Project Plan document. The tool will work with Microsoft Office
Project 2002-2007.
