Project Import failed due to size

My user usedTools - Enterprise Options - Import Project to Enterprise to add
a very large project plan with a year's worth of data to the data base. He
received a MSP error message "There is not enought memory to complete the
operation. Close projects, programs, or windows you are not using an try
again." He did as instructed and the import failed again.

This is a large and important project. Help!

HI
This may be just a work around.
Open project professional and connect to project server.
Copy the entire project which you were trying to import making sure that the
schedule does not change.
Now directly publish the project. No need to import.
Let me know if this works

Thank you very much for the suggestion. We were able to import by deleting
generic resources and tasks will will be added back later. I wish we had
your suggestion before, it could have save him a lot of work. I wasn't aware
that you could publish in that way.

Again, thank you.

How big is the MPP file? We've imported some as large as 25 MB without any
problems.

Ray,

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't know the exact size - just know that the
user said it was a large project plan with a years worth of hours...
