Project Info Customisation

Hi All,

I was hoping that you maybe able to assist me on a problem that I am having
with some Customization that I have developed.

The install was ok but the Customization that was developed did not function
properly. The customization is an Add Notes utility for Project Server for
Project Managers in PWA. So when you go to the Project Center and select to
edit a project, there will be an additional option that will enable users to
add notes about the projects.

The problem is when you go to the Edit Project Information Page, the
Customization has installed without any problems, but the two options at the
top of the page ‘Save and Close’ and ‘Go back to Project Center’ are grayed
out (de-activated). I have un-installed the Customization as it did not
function properly, everything is back to normal and the two options are
active again.

The environment is a two server setup. Server one is the database server
(SQL and Analysis Services). Server two is the webserver (Project Server and
IIS).

This is very strange as I have replicated the whole environment at our
offices and tested the Customization which works without any problems. I
have checked out all the permissions and security settings but these seem to
be fine.

Would you have any suggestions for this happening? One reason that I have
been looking into is the environment is a secured setup (https), where as the
test environment is not. Do you think this would be the cause of the problem?

I think you need to discuss this issue with the software developer who
created the Add Notes utility. Hope this helps.
