project locked--project is unviewable

I put a digital signature I had created myself on a
mailmerge project that includes VBA code. Now I can't
view or access the code: I get a "Project Locked" dialog
box with the message "Project is unviewable."

I've gone through the steps to remove the digital
signature, but that hasn't helped. A help page somewhere
said something about needing a password, but as far as I
know, I never set a password for the project.

What do I have to do?

Is the template that contains the macro open, or merely added in?

??I don't understand the question. From my mailmerge
letter I do alt-F11 to the VBA IDE and there I've created
a user form with code, a module with code and variable
declarations, and some code in the ThisDocument window
that runs other code on the open event. The only thing
that shows in the main document macro window is
the "ShowForm" macro. This belongs to the document and
not, eg, to "Normal."

where is your macro?
do you have it in your word startup folder?
you wont be able to open it easilly if thats the case.
