Project Manager Information in Project Professional

We use Project server and generic resources as a first step for staffing
projects. Resource managers have to propse then a real resources. To do that
they check-out respective project in the MS Project professional . In this
envirnment they need to know who is the project manager/owner of the project.
Is there a way to include in Project Information menu or somewhere
information who is the manager - without need to manualy type it in file
Properties?

In the future, please post your Project Server questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is devoted only
to the Microsoft Project desktop application. To answer your question, your
Project Server administrator should create a custom enterprise Project field
for this purpose, and should make this field a Required field. The PM would
be forced to enter his/her name in this custom enteprise field at the time
he/she saves the project. The RM can determine who is the PM of the project
by clicking Project - Project Information.

Also, if you want this information to show up in the OLAP cube for use in
Portfolio Analyzer views, you should use an enterprise Project outline code
for this purpose. This means you will need to list all of your PM's names
in the outline code initially, and add new ones to the outline code as they
join your company. Hope this helps.
