Project Manager not seeing his own tasks in My Tasks

All of the Team Members are seeing their tasks listed in My Tasks except the
Project Manager. As well as being the Project Manager he is also a Team
Member and has assigned some tasks to himself on several projects. But when
he goes to My Tasks nothinh is listed for any project.

I'm new to Project but I found the answer but I do not know how it got like
that. The Project Manager was assigned to the project as 'Proposed' not
'Committed'. Is that a global Resource setting somewhere or did the Project
Manager accidently set it for that project only? Any help to stop it
happening again would be appreciated.

He is set as a 'Committed' resource in the Enterprise Resource Pool. So I
guess he must have set himself as 'Proposed' on that project. I've asked him
and he says he didn't set anything so believes the server set it. I want to
make sure that all resources are automatically set to 'Committed' for all
future projects. Is that on a global setting somewhere?

I thought that was the case. At least if it happens again I know here to
