If someone emails you a project .mpp file as an attachement and you don't
have MS Project on your workstation, is there any other fairly straight
forward way to view the file????

"Fairly straightforward" is a relative term. Go to the MVP website at:

No there is not. There are some viewer software products out there, but
installing software is not what I consider "fairly straight forward"
otherwise you could consider installing project as being straight forward.
